8:00 AM: Wake up sleepy. Went to bed after midnight and that was no good.
9:00 AM: Commute to the city with Casual Carpool. $1
10:00 AM: Realize I forgot my lunch again AGHHH@#$*#(@! Immediately set a 9:00 AM alarm to remind me for tomorrow and Thursday. Now I’m going to have to figure out what to do with this food instead of letting it go to waste. Eat a bowl of cereal at work + work coffee. New snacks at the office — toasted coconut chips AWW YIISS. $0
1:00 PM: Buy 2 bowls of Nongshim Bowl Noodle’s for lunch. Top it off with boiled eggs from work. It’s like living college all over again! Except I’ve moved up in life because I upgraded from $.50 Cup Noodles to $.99 Bowl Noodles, which were on sale from $1.29! I also had to pay $.10 for a bag because I don’t want my coworkers judging me for being 27 and still enjoying a bowl of instant ramen. $2.08
6:00 PM: Take BART to the climbing gym in Oakland. Transbay fares are so unfair!! $3.45
8:30 PM: Lyft line home. Boyfriend pays, we usually just alternate with these. Transportation in the East Bay and Bay Area is generally tough. Our options are usually: 30-40 minute walk home which feels like forever after sunset, 25 minute bus ride for essentially the same price as a car ($2 per person), or 10 minute car ride ($4-5 for both of us). $0
9:00 PM: So tired. Breakfast for dinner! I pick the meat off the lamb bones from our bone broth — I love picking a good bone, and eat 3 slices of bacon (For the sake of keeping calculation easy, the cost of this was part of yesterday’s grocery haul). $0
