Money Diaries: Day 11

8:00 AM: Crosstown bus to the West Village. So happy for my unlimited card! $0

8:30 AM: Meet up with my friend at Merriweather Cafe to work. I have a long post coming up! Coffee + Breakfast Croissant. $6.25

11:00 AM: Round 2, chai latte + another croissant. The price of productivity at a cafe! I really love the vibe of this place! $8

2:00 PM: We decide it’s time for a break and grab lunch nearby at one of my favorite places the Kati Roll Company. I get a kati roll and some mango lassi. $10.15

3:00 PM: We walk by this broth company called Brodo, which serendipitously, I had just been talking about with my boyfriend before I left. During our Red Rocks trip we had actually run into a book about this broth shop. It all seems like such a cosmic coincidence, so I have to try some broth and buy the recipe book! $30.45 ($8.70 for broth)

3:30 PM: Take the subway to Brooklyn! $0

4:00 PM: Dumbo Boulders is the cheapest day pass for climbing in the area, and I’m meeting my friend there for some bouldering. It’s a super cool outdoor gym beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. $9

6:30 PM: Subway back into the city to meet up with friends for dinner. $0

7:00 PM: We stop in at Argo tea. $3.35

7:30 PM: Dinner at a fancy pizza place with the whole crew! We’ve been friends since our freshman year, 2008! 5/9 of us were freshman year hall mates! $32.18
