  1. Wuut, I had no idea about Trader Joe’s carrying fish sauce! Truth be told, I’m cheap so I usually just get a huge thing of whatever’s cheap at the local Asian grocery store. Also, if you’re in search for a new cheese to snack on, the Kerrygold White Irish Aged Cheddar is BOMB- it tastes way more expensive than it costs. And you can usually find it in your local grocery store!

Trader Joe’s is dangerous- I’m a huge snacker, so I can spend too much money there, haha. PS. So jealous of all of your shawarma leftovers!

    1. I think it’s only some Trader Joe’s because mine still doesn’t have it after another trip yesterday! Damn I just want that deal on that fish sauce!! I’ll have to check out your cheese recommendation! I have been loving the Manchego + salami + water cracker combo for too many years and need some diversity 🙂 I try not to be a huge snacker but the only way is to avoid the snack section entirely (kinda difficult since the “section” seems to be everywhere)…

  2. Nice job having a frugal week! I think we bought the same toilet paper from Amazon. Charmin Ultra Strong Mega Roll? I also didn’t know TJ’s had fish sauce. I usually get the Squid brand one from Chinatown.

    1. Yes!! Charmin Ultra Strong Mega Roll + the $2 coupon! When they say mega, they seriously mean mega. I couldn’t even fit it in my toilet paper holder…

I used to be really against buying “american” brand asian products, but it’s starting to grow on me! I still have to get my kimchee from the asian supermarket though 😛

    1. Oops, I meant I just got back to climbing because of my injured finger! Back climbing would be pretty interesting! LOL

    1. Tracking my spending does cause me to be a little bit neurotic, especially with spendy weeks happening at the beginning of the month. For large purchases or tons of one offs I try to have a catch all category that has been building up for months just to help me deal!

    1. Indeed! I’m pretty lucky my employer provides lunch for us on Fridays…I almost feel guilty I take some for the following week, but better than throwing out leftovers! 🙂
